Taichung Metro unveils station themed on CTBC Brothers

The Taichung Metro's Green Line will begin a one-month trial on Thursday. The line has 18 stations, including one highly anticipated stop themed on the local baseball team.

Tests are running on the Green Line, ahead of its Thursday trial opening. On Monday, officials lifted the veil on one of the new stations.

This commercial will play on repeat on a screen above the escalators. Cardboard cutouts of baseball stars will greet passengers near the gate. From top to bottom, it’s all about the CTBC Brothers. This is Wenxin Chongde Station, which is themed on the local baseball team.

This is a permanent themed metro station. Since this station is very close to the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, the home stadium of the CTBC Brothers, we and the CTBC Brothers came up with this idea.

The Brothers are the home team, and the Intercontinental stadium is just a stone’s throw away. The station is meant to feel like an extension of the stadium.

To create the atmosphere of a baseball stadium, Wenxin Chongde Station will broadcast special messages recorded by the Brothers.

“常設性有主題特色的車站捷運站，因為這個車站距離洲際棒球場，也就是中信兄弟隊的主場非常近，所以我們就跟中信兄弟一起發想。”

中信兄弟身為中職台中主場球隊，洲際棒球場緊鄰文心崇德站，台中捷運攜手中信兄弟，把車站變身小球場。

為了營造主場氣氛，未來只要洲際有比賽，車站內就聽得到球員特別錄製的廣播

到時候球迷們進到車站，應該會感到熱血沸騰，這裡也預料將會成為兄弟迷的打卡重點。
