This whole weekend has been cold and damp in northern Taiwan thanks to the northeast monsoon and a cloud system from Southern China. But all that will go away on Monday. The Central Weather Bureau says the mercury will rise again and that the coming week will be mostly fair.

The northeast monsoon will weaken during the day tomorrow, and temperatures will gradually rise. In the days to come, the northeasterly winds will still affect the northern region where temperatures will fluctuate, but the range won’t be that great. The highs will be between 25 and 27 degrees. The low temperatures are around 20 to 21 degrees.

The moisture will begin to decrease during the day on Monday, and the skies will remain fair all the way to Saturday, with the exception of regions north of Taoyuan, the eastern regions and mountainous areas in the north, where scattered brief showers can still occur. Central and Southern Taiwan will be partly cloudy and experience large temperature swings between daytime and nighttime.
