Taiwan’s deputy health minister is over in Geneva, working the sidelines of the World Health Assembly. Deputy chief Lee Li-feng attended a local forum hosted by a Taiwanese nonprofit, where scholars from around the world shared their experiences on public health. She also met a delegate of Paraguay and thanked him for his country’s staunch support of Taiwan.

In a speech at the 75th World Health Assembly, Paraguay said the global health system needed the participation of all countries without exception – including Taiwan. The strong support was cheering to Taiwan officials in Geneva, who were there to represent their country despite its exclusion from the summit.
