If you enjoy the great outdoors and listening to orchestral music, One Song Orchestra has fantastic shows for you. The renowned ensemble will be holding a music festival in October, with outdoor concerts featuring Taiwanese music with a classical twist. Let’s hear from the orchestra’s director.
Lee Che-yi
One Song Orchestra musical director
The music we perform is tied to our land, our environment and our culture. Our themes include nostalgia, love, films and a trip around the world. During the pandemic, it’s been hard to go abroad. So we’d like everyone to be able to listen to music from all over the world.
The music festival will be held on Oct. 28 and 29 in collaboration with a cultural creative park in New Taipei’s Tamsui District. There will be three performances, including two outdoor shows on a lawn for everyone to enjoy. One Song Orchestra says it hopes the two-day event will renew appreciation for Taiwanese music among music lovers.
