The weather was fair islandwide with warmer temperatures on Sunday, but starting Monday as a cold front and rain clouds from Southern China arrive, the northern and northeastern regions will become cold and damp again. Clouds will thicken gradually in the north and Yilan. Intermittent brief showers will gradually begin especially in greater Taipei and Yilan. The coldest period will fall in the early hours of Tuesday, and the lows will drop to around 14 to 16 degrees islandwide.

Temperatures will not rise until Thursday, but even then, rain may still be falling in the northeast.
