Over in Kaohsiung many people spent the first day of the long weekend at the Green Park, where the city’s Tourism Bureau is holding its Spring Picnic Fun festival. There’s plenty of fun activities to take part in, but one of them drew special attention. It’s called bubble soccer, in which you insert yourself in a gigantic inflatable bubble and bounce around against others. Are you curious? Let our reporter show you what it’s all about.

It’s the first day of the long weekend, and lots of people have come to Kaohsiung’s green park to try this! Step inside the bubble, strap up and grab the handles, and get ready to battle.

We’re holding the Spring Picnic Fun festival during the Labor Day long weekend here at Green Park. We’ll also have a meet-and-greet with Kaohsiung Bear and storytelling sessions with musical picture books.

The bubble soccer has proven to be a hit. People bump into each other and are sent flying across the field, feet up in the air and rolling around. But if you’re not that adventurous there is also another area with dozens of gigantic red balls that kids and parents can knock around and have fun with. There’s plenty of activities to be enjoyed at Green Park. So, if you’ve got some time this long weekend, maybe it’s not a bad idea to set up picnic mats and enjoy the great outdoors.
