Another breakthrough for Taiwan''s foreign relations, this time it''s Central Europe. Earlier this evening, a Slovakian delegation touched down at Taoyuan International Airport. Led by the country''s deputy economics minister Karol Galek, the group is made up of members of the government, industry and academia.

Members of the delegation constitute the highest level-ever to visit Taiwan since the establishment of Slovakia''s representative office in Taiwan in 2003. While in Taiwan, the group will attend the first Taiwan-Slovakia inter-ministerial conference and discuss issues related to "economics and trade" as well as "education, R&D, and tourism."
