That’s the latest development in a weeks-long spat which started due to Taiwan’s designation as "China (Taiwan)" on South Korean electronic arrival cards. Taiwan had protested the name and requested a change, threatening in turn to change Korea’s designation from the preferred "Republic of Korea" to "South Korea" on April 1. But amid signs that Seoul is working on making changes, Taiwan is leaving things as they are for now. They are considering removing two required fields "previous departure place" and "next destination." The change would apply to all travelers, and not just visitors from Taiwan.
