It’s because when athletes go abroad to compete, they often can’t find food that suits their taste. But now it just so happens that we’ve got a food station that serves up familiar meals, to help keep the athletes steady.
Badminton player Tai Tzu-ying is already in Paris for training. On social media, she shared a photo of a beef bowl topped with a tea egg and greens. She called it a welcome treat after a grueling practice session. Fellow badminton player Lee Chia-hsin also posted about her meal: curry chicken with a tea egg. Table tennis player Cheng I-ching shared a shot of braised pork and water spinach, saying that, quote, “Taiwanese flavors have saved my Taiwanese stomach.”
