Hidden pinhole cameras have been discovered disguised inside fake smoke detectors at treatment rooms, apparently installed by the company itself. What’s more, reports say that when police went to investigate the matter, staff at some branches had taken down the main recording units and lenses to throw away. Fortunately, they were intercepted before they could do it. The case is being investigated under charges related to violations of sexual privacy and personal privacy. The cosmetic clinic company has released a statement saying that the pinhole cameras were installed to ensure medical quality and safeguard equipment. It insists that the company did not infringe on customers’ privacy. However, adding suspicion to the matter is the fact that some of the recent footage captured by the cameras appears to have been deleted deliberately. The devices will be sent to the Criminal Investigation Bureau, where specialists will attempt to recover the records. For more Taiwan news, tune in:Mon to Fri at 9:30 pm on Channel 152Tue to Sat at 1 am on Channel 53#scandal #privacy #beauty #cosmetic #surgery #plasticsurgery#台灣新聞 #TaiwanNews #民視新聞 #FTV新聞 #Taiwan
