And one lucky lottery winner has just lost the opportunity to claim a fortune. On Feb. 12, the “Power Lottery” drew a massive NT$1.35 billion jackpot that was set to be divided between two winners. After several weeks, one of them came forward to claim the prize, but another one in Hsinchu did not.

Taiwan Lottery even posted on social media to try and locate the player in Hsinchu, who had bought the winning ticket at the Jin Yuan Bao Lottery Shop in East District. But now it’s too late. The deadline to claim the winnings expired on Tuesday, meaning the NT$667 million has been forfeited to the state. That’s marks a record for the highest unclaimed cash prize ever. The story has left many people exclaiming that the person must be the unluckiest lucky winner ever.
