Following the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that struck Hualien on April 3, the health ministry and the Hualien County government each opened a bank account for donations for earthquake victims. Friday is the deadline for making earthquake donations to the month-long health ministry’s account. However, those donating through crowd-funding platform WaBay only have until Tuesday, as the platform will stop accepting donations early. Donations through Line Pay will be accepted until Thursday.

Meanwhile, Hualien County’s own donations account will stay open till June 5. That account has accumulated NT$500,000 so far through roughly 30,000 individual donations.
