On a whim, I decided to come up the mountain, to Wuling. Seeing the snow was a very nice surprise. We feel very lucky.

For these visitors, the snow pellets were just as exciting as snow. Atmospheric moisture rose sharply on Tuesday, as a weather system from China moved in. But drier skies are expected starting Wednesday due to an incoming cold front.

From Wednesday to Thursday, temperatures will drop islandwide under the influence of a continental cold air front, which could range from moderate to severe. We’ll see a sharp drop after Wednesday at noon. On Thursday, especially in the north, northeast, Kinmen, Matsu, and the east, the weather will be chilly.

In the north and east, the mercury could fall below 10 degrees Celsius. Other parts of the island could see lows between 13 and 15 degrees. On Saturday, temps are set to gradually rise, potentially improving turnout on Election Day.
