After just two sunny days, the weather is about to turn cold and humid again. Starting on Tuesday, the northeasterly seasonal winds will pick up strength again, potentially becoming a continental cold air mass. The lowest temperatures can be expected around Wednesday and Thursday, accompanied by rain. Let’s hear more from a forecaster.

Chu Mei-lin
Central Weather Administration
This evening, a weather front will begin to form on the seas to Taiwan’s east and northeast and move eastward. And with that, the next wave of continental cold high pressure will move southward, and northeasterly winds will strengthen. On Saturday and Sunday, as the weather front moves eastward, the next wave of northeasterly winds will pick up strength, and so the next wave of cooling will fall around the weekend.

It will turn cold and humid on Tuesday. Moisture levels will begin to decrease on Wednesday, and day-night temperature difference will be greatest on Thursday. After a brief reprieve on Friday, another weather front is set to pass through on Saturday, and northeasterly winds will also pick up strength, making for a cold weekend ahead.
