The cilantro craze is here to stay! Promoted from a garnish to the main star, cilantro isn’t just for gua bao and spring rolls anymore. One convenience store has gone all out, offering budget-friendly cilantro fried chicken and a cilantro peanut chocolate bar. It’s gotten people talking online, and they’ve even started tagging former president Tsai Ing-wen, the ultimate cilantro fan. Some think it’s a genius idea, while others think it’s an abomination.

One bite of this chicken cutlet, and a hit of cilantro explodes on your tastebuds. People online immediately started tagging the ultimate cilantro lover, former president Tsai Ing-wen, to give it a try. The chicken is a hit, but it’s not the only way to get your cilantro fix.

Fresh pasta is served, but this isn’t your typical pesto sauce. That deep green is all cilantro. This convenience store has gone all in on the herb, and sales are promising.

We’ve recently started offering cilantro ice cream. Overall sales are actually pretty good. In the first month alone we sold 20,000 cones. Especially on social media, people are really interested in cilantro products right now.

Cashing in on the cilantro trend, you can even find it in a classic chocolate bar.

You can see bits of green inside. The sweetness of the peanut and chocolate blend together before the cilantro hits. If you want a mix of salty and sweet, then this cilantro milk tea might be for you.

- Not bad. It’s really not bad. It’s pretty interesting to put cilantro in a drink.

- Way too sweet. The taste is OK though.

Some people like it. But for others, as soon as they hear the word “cilantro”...

- Absolutely no way.

There’s no hiding how they feel. But if you like cilantro, you can now eat it from breakfast to dinner.

And don’t forget the cilantro chicken burger: a crispy fried chicken patty with a strong hit of cilantro. Now it’s possible to have cilantro with every meal. Fans are living the dream, but the haters? They’re staying far, far away.
