The iconic Queen’s Head formation in Yehliu Geopark can now be viewed both day and night. The Tourism Administration created a lightshow to showcase the Queen’s Head after dark, turning the geopark into an outdoor art exhibit. With thousands of tourists already visiting her every day, the Queen is sure to attract even more attention now.

Lights cover the iconic Queen’s Head in dazzling colors, then transform to dress her in beautiful clothes. This light show brings the rock formation to life, transforming Yehliu Geopark into an art exhibit.

I studied medicine, and lots of medical professionals and students make sure to visit Yehliu when they come to Taiwan because the scenery is so magnificent. We are already amazed by 3D movies, but today, this is a 7D format, which I believe will be a new experience for people.

This year’s light show turns the geopark into an outdoor night museum. In addition to showcasing 60 public submissions, the exhibit features works by schoolchildren and artists who joined forces to express their imaginations, along with creations by top-tier professionals.

After developing this platform over time, it has already attracted tourists from all over the country and even internationally. By integrating the natural landscape with light installations and light sculptures, it has truly become a highlight of Taiwan’s north coast.

On its first day last year, the night exhibit at Yehliu saw over 5,000 visitors. The Tourism Administration is continuing to promote the event, turning it into an international attraction.
