Many unexpected things can happen on Taiwan’s roads, and this might be a new one. A scooter that was getting transported on a tow truck was sent crashing down onto the road after the truck driver braked. It is suspected that the scooter was not properly secured. Fortunately, nobody was passing nearby. Let’s hear more.

I was pulling up the metal shutter when I heard a sound. I came over to look, and saw the scooter on the ground. It was only after watching the security camera footage that I saw the scooter had fallen from the truck. It’s ridiculous.

It’s so dangerous! It could block the way for any motorbikes coming from the back. They could’ve crashed!

It’s ludicrous. The scooter came crashing down. If you were riding a scooter or driving a car next to it, you’d be out of luck.

Fortunately, the scooter didn’t fall on anyone, as there were no people nearby or any other vehicles next to the truck. But just because nobody was hurt, doesn’t mean it’s OK. The tow truck driver is facing a fine of up to NT$18,000 for failing to secure the cargo properly.
