Are you looking to buy a plane? This could be your chance. A 34-year-old Far Eastern Transport passenger plane will be put up for auction next week, by the Kaohsiung Branch of the Administrative Enforcement Agency. The plane has been parked at Kaohsiung International Airport for many years, accumulating parking fees, landing fees and late fees of more than NT$6 million. The auction will take place on March 17, marking the first plane put up for auction by the office in 25 years.

The plane is one of two identical models getting sold off. The model to be auctioned is the one with the serial number B28011, which hasn’t been turned on for seven years. With a minimum starting bid of NT$8 million, it’s quite the bargain. But there’s a catch if you’re hoping to start your own airline and soar above the clouds, as the plane cannot be used for commercial operations as part of the civil aviation industry. The sister plane next to it is set to be dismantled and relocated after the sale is finalized.
