The Asia-Pacific International Baseball Training Centers’ very first game was held on Sunday, and it’s already generating more headlines than expected. That’s because a spectator, a man surnamed Chiang, slapped a stadium worker. Chiang was told not to stand in the aisle, but he wouldn’t budge, reprimanding the worker instead. Another worker tried to break up the fight, but ended up being slapped. The CPBL issued later issued a statement to condemn Chiang and ban him from attending another CBPL game. Meanwhile, netizens also found out where he worked, leading to the company to dismiss him.

Get what I mean?
Watch your attitude!
That’s all!

A man in black furiously reprimands a worker keeping order at the stadium, drawing attention from other spectators. Another worker steps in to try resolve the issue.

Say it nicely.
Say it nicely.

The man in black wouldn’t have it.

Say it nicely.
Say it nicely.

Instead, he slapped the worker that stepped in so hard, that others could hear a clear smack. The victim didn’t fight back, and was met with a slurry of verbal attacks.

Say it nicely? HE should be nice.

The incident took place at the Asia-Pacific International Baseball Training Centers in Tainan, during the stadium’s debut on Sunday, which was packed with excited fans, including the assailant. The worker that was slapped reported his injuries in the company of CPBL managers and filed a police report. The CPBL issued a statement to condemn the assailant and to ban him from attending another CPBL game.

The man, surnamed Chiang, was unhappy that he was told not to stand in the aisle. He argued with a worker surnamed Tsai and then slapped him on the left cheek.

Chiang was summoned to the police to be questioned. Meanwhile, netizens found the real estate agency branch where he worked, leading to his dismissal.

Voice of Lien Yu-cheng
Legal manager of real estate agency
On behalf of the company, we’d like to issue a most sincere apology to the public. We’ve already terminated our hire-of-work contract. Starting today, he’s no longer our employee.

Other netizens alleged that he had previously opened a seafood restaurant on Hai’an Road. It closed in 2022, but because of him, other outlets of the franchise were spammed with one-star reviews.

Voice of Mr. Lee
Qigu Fresh flagship
I believe it opened in 2021 for about seven months. I was shocked too when I saw the news yesterday. He’s a service worker, a real estate agent, so I find it unbelievable that he would do something like that.

Meanwhile, the victim’s sister posted on Threads that the attack did not impair her brother’s hearing. But even then, she said her family will take every legal action possible to hold the attacker accountable.
