We’ve all been to a birthday party for a friend. You might even have organized one. But have you ever been to a pet birthday party? They’re all the rage among devoted pet owners these days, as dogs and cats usurp the place of children in many people’s affections. FTV attended a dog’s birthday party where the nibbles took the host over 10 hours to prepare!
A selection of exquisite cakes is laid out in a sumptuous feast. The table also carries many other treats. You might not guess that this heavenly display, with all its aesthetic details, is actually laid out for a pet’s birthday party!

They’re basically all made from chicken breast that’s been blended up and then enriched with sheep’s milk powder and vegetable powder. It took 12 hours or so. When my fur baby’s happy, then I’m happy.

There’s loads of dog food and she made it all herself. People don’t have kids these days, they have dogs instead. No fights, no tantrums, good girls and boys!
This Border Collie gets a bowtie to match his gray and white coat: a gentleman in formalwear. Many pet owners are so besotted with their pets, they practically treat them like children.

Dogs don’t live forever. They can only be by our side for about 13 years. So we want to treat them as well as possible. Mine is already 2 years old.
Pet owners pose happily for a photo with their darlings. They’re keen to make the most of the short time they have together, and they’re ready to splash the cash to create wonderful memories while they can.
