A woman got a fright she’ll never forget in Kaohsiung, after finding an undetonated bomb in her late father’s kitchen. Upon the discovery, she immediately stopped her cleaning duties, and called the police over.
Police officers cordoned off the area and called the bomb squad of the 8th Field Army for disposal. Experts determined that the explosive was an 81mm mortar shell. And after an assessment, it was deemed to not pose a risk, as the fuse had broken down and the shell did not contain any gunpowder.
