A coffee shop in Kaohsiung has gone viral for its intricate 3D latte art. Over 14 years, the owner has made anything you could imagine into latte art, from pets to deities and movie characters. Ask, and you shall receive, even if it’s a cockroach. The owner delivered above expectations with a lifelike foam cockroach that jiggles when you move the cup. The equally delightful and disturbing creation has gone viral and received multiple requests, even with a NT$1,500 price tag.

First, create the shape with microfoam. Then, sketch with chocolate syrup. Finish with dustings of coffee powder. All these layers make for a realistic-looking result.

Give this cockroach latte art a tiny shake, and it looks as though it might take flight.

It’s delicious. I’m afraid of cockroaches, but this one isn’t scary. It’s quite adorable.

This 3D cockroach latte art, equally delightful and disturbing, has gone viral on social media. If you want your very own, be prepared to cough up NT$1,500. But the hefty price tag doesn’t deter many more curious customers.

I saw the cockroach latte. How can you not try it out? Cockroach legs have tiny hairs, and she’s made sure to draw the hairs on, truly hair-raising.

This coffee shop has been in business for 14 years now in Kaohsiung, specializing in intricate latte art, as shown in the wall of pictures. Everything goes for the owner, even various iterations of the sea goddess, Mazu.

Coffee shop owner
We create at our whim or upon request. We’ll create anything the customer wants. Nothing’s off limits. I’m always up to a challenge. We’ve probably served hundreds of these cockroach lattes already.

Another iconic creation is this: Sadako from the horror series “The Ring” crawling out of the cup. The shop’s creations are truly amazing, but alas, they don’t last. The foam eventually flattens and loses shape, beginning from creation.

It was my daughter’s idea to have Sadako climb out of the coffee mug. I thought it was a great idea.

Pets are also a popular request here. Truly, there’s nothing that can’t be turned into latte art by the owner. It’s also not the first time her astonishing skills have attracted local and foreign press. Perhaps the only downside is that the art doesn’t last.
