The baseball team from Taipei’s Dong Yuan Elementary School were champions of last year’s Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. To commemorate their victory and carry on Taiwan’s legacy of little league excellence, Chunghwa Post issued a special stamp for the team.

Students from Taipei’s Dong Yuan Elementary School play recorders at this event honoring their classmates on the baseball team. A stamp set has been issued to commemorate their victory at last year’s Little League World Series in Pennsylvania.

Chunghwa Post chairman
We know it wasn’t easy. They fought their way from the domestic qualifiers all the way to the Asia-Pacific event and finally to the international stage in Williamsport to compete against the US team. It’s truly an extraordinary achievement.

The stamp collection was designed around two themes: team strength and the moment of glory. It was the first time in 29 years that Taiwan’s young players won the Little League World Series, symbolizing the enduring legacy of Taiwan’s baseball spirit.

Chang Chung-jung
Dong Yuan Elementary principal
I spoke with the kids and thanked them for helping me fulfill my own childhood dream. We all watched the Williamsport championship as kids. It’s a hallowed ground we all dreamed of. I thank them for taking me there.

The principal said the young players’ joy when competing was the most important thing. He also hoped that this experience could plant a seed, empowering them to keep moving forward on their baseball journeys.

Lai Min-nan
Team head coach
I’ve been supporting Dong Yuan baseball for over 30 years now. Like I said before, this stamp is my medal of merit. I think when these kids grow up—after five, 10 years—they’ll realize how precious this moment is.

Issuing this stamp set commemorates the heroic efforts of these little leaguers, vividly capturing their outstanding achievements. Along with the stamps, everyone took turns signing a baseball to record this moment in the history of Chunghwa Post, ensuring that their legacy will not be forgotten.
