Most people have already collected the government’s NT$10,000 cash handout over the past few months. According to the National Treasury Administration, as of April 26, more than 23.31 million people collected their handouts. That’s 98.92% of all eligible recipients.

But there are still about 250,000 people who haven’t picked up their cash. Of them, some 30,000 are people who tried to register online and failed, but who have yet to claim the money through other channels. With the deadline for collection getting closer, the government is urging everyone eligible to go get the money by April 30. If not, the unused NT$2.5 billion will taken back for the government.
