The first 2026 urban resilience exercise was held in Changhua, using live drills to assess local governments’ ability to respond to disasters and emergencies. Tech companies also participated, showcasing the Thunder Shield counter-drone system, which issues warnings when unidentified drones enter restricted areas. Public and private sectors collaborated on the exercises to demonstrate Taiwan’s defense capabilities.
