You’ve probably seen three people riding a scooter in Taiwan, but a driver in Yilan has put a fresh twist on the old classic by adding a bicycle into the equation. A car driver caught footage of the stunt. At the front was a scooter with two people. At the back, a boy rode on a bike tied to the scooter with a rope. The trio made its way down the road, with the kid at the back swerving dangerously and putting everyone’s hairs on end. Let’s see more.

Commenting on stunt
They tied the rope to one side of the handlebar of the bike. That makes it really hard to stay balanced.

Local
Commenting on stunt
It’s really dangerous. Had he lost control over the bike, it could’ve strayed into traffic, or get run over by cars coming from behind.

Chang Yu-sheng
Police officer
We notified the relevant people to come and explain the incident. They said that the kid’s bike broke down, so they tied it up to the scooter to tow it away. They have been fined in accordance with the law.

According to the relevant traffic laws, objects that are being carried on the back of a scooter cannot protrude more than 50cm from the back wheel. In addition, only two people may ride on a single scooter. Violations are finable between NT$300 and NT$600.
