Two scooters collided in a recent accident in Nantou’s Puli Township, leaving one driver unconscious on the ground. An off-duty police officer running an errand happened to see the crash and ran over, performing CPR on the injured driver in time to save their life.

A car blares its sirens as it makes a U-turn, stopping before two scooters that have fallen on the road. The police officer gets out to help one of the drivers, who is in distress on the ground.

I saw that an accident had happened, so I quickly turned around and stopped before the accident to prevent other cars from hitting them.

One driver made it safely to the side of the road, but the other was stuck under a scooter. The police officer tried to help them move the scooter and stand up, but they were unable to move.

I found the driver had lots of blood in their mouth and nose and was unconscious. I checked their pulse and breathing, but there was no response.

When they realized the driver was in critical condition, the police officer started performing CPR.

After continuing chest compressions for a period, the victim regained consciousness and was handed over to paramedics and sent to the hospital for treatment. We are very glad that the patient recovered.

This accident happened on Zhongzheng Road in Nantou’s Puli Township. Officer Cheng was off duty and on his way to the auto shop when he saw the accident and was able to reach the victim in time to save their life.
