Fans of the iconic K-pop group Super Junior were left fuming at a special exhibition celebrating the boy band’s 20th anniversary in Taipei. Hordes of fans descended on the event, which was plagued by delays and long lines at every corner. The crowding got so bad that police were called to the location to maintain order. Fans were furious, with some having waiting in line for 5 hours for merch to be told it was all gone when it was finally their turn. Event staff apologized to the attendees, saying they could return on another day, but that did not help ease the discontent.

Fans flooded the Super Junior special anniversary exhibition. But slow checkouts and delays resulted in a crowd so massive that police had to get involved.

Fans booked for 4:20 p.m. were delayed to 5:30, only to be left waiting in line for merch until 9, by which time no goodies were left. They were furious. Organizers tried to quell the anger saying ticket holders could return another day.

Even worse, people who wanted refunds also had to wait in yet another line. Some disgruntled fans have reported the issue to the Consumers’ Foundation.
